Demos
In order to help you get an understanding of how the benchKeeper software suite looks and operates, we have put together a number of on-line, animated, Flash-based screen captures that cover a variety of topics.
Join our Chief Scientist, Dr. Alan Ridgeway, as he provides you with a narrated, "over the shoulder" look at various benchKeeper operations in the animations below.
Please take note that most of these viewlets require that you have audio enabled on your machine.
Please note that clicking on the links below will open the animations in a new window. Also be aware that even though we attempt to keep these demonstrations as current and as accurate as possible, the latest version of our software may be slightly different than what is depicted in these animations.
Short Introduction: This is a quick overview of the software.
Long Introduction: This is a more detailed general overview of the software, providing a cursory look at the functionality of all of the available modules.
Getting Started: This is a look at how to initially configure and administrate benchKeeper. Server options, backup/recovery operations, user and group configurations, default data sharing options, etc., are covered.
License Request: So you've downloaded the software, and you like it, and wish to purchase it. This demo shows how to generate a license request to meet your requirements. Once sent to our sales team, the license request will allow us to generate a valid license for your installation, unlocking the requested functionality.
The following demos provide a detailed look at the operations of the various benchKeeper modules:
antibodyKeeper
cryoKeeper
dnaKeeper
oligoKeeper
protocolKeeper
ratKeeper

We are also attempting to provide you with demonstrations of specific system-wide features, such as:
Sharing Privileges: We've added a new feature whereby you can modify sharing settings for some or all of the data elements within BenchKeeper. This demonstration walks you through this new feature.
Using an Oracle Database: You can now use various third-party databases with BenchKeeper, Oracle being one of them. This demonstration walks you through how to configure and use Oracle as the data repository for BenchKeeper.
Importing Excel Data: You can import new data into BenchKeeperfrom an Excel spreadsheet. This demonstration walks through the process.
Export Data to Excel:This demonstration shows one of our new features in action; exporting data to an Excel file. This is a quick, simple method of exporting data from BenchKeeper so that it can be used elsewhere.
Linking Data between Different Modules:We have recently added the ability to cross-link data between modules. This demonstration provides an example of how this works.
